 Our beautiful, traditional ‘longere’ is set in a large tranquil garden and has been restored to the highest modern standards.  Centrally heated throughout, it is ideal for both winter and summer breaks. The open plan kitchen/living area has a woodburning stove, with wood provided, satellite television, and DVD.The kitchen is well appointed with full size electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and microwave

The ground floor also has one double room with double bed and a second room with bunk beds.  There is a separate shower-room and wc

The 1st floor comprises solely of the master bedroom with its own spacious bathroom.  A single bed or cot can be added to make this a large family room.

All linen and towels are provided, outside there is a barbeque with outdoor dining table and chairs

The cottage is just 3 km from the pretty village of Gouarec, where the river Blavet meets the Nantes-Brest Canal. The village has all amenities: a supermarket, bank, post office, pharmacy and restaurant.

Close by is the Abbey of Bon Repos situated on the side of the canal, this picturesque, historic, Cistercian monastery is a delightful picnic spot and on Sunday mornings has a small produce and craft market which is well worth a visit. Each summer it hosts the largest Son et Lumiere in the area.  In the grounds of the abbey is one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. The canal towpath is perfect for walking or cycling, winter and summer.

Five minutes drive by car is the Lac du Guerledan, the largest lake in Brittany with safe beaches, watersport facilities, cafes & restaurants and an excellent outdoor centre with over 10 kms of cycle track at Mur de Bretagne.

If you wish to venture further-a-field, or central location makes much of historic Brittany is within easy reach.  Whether you wish to visit the medieval town of Dinan , or Brittany’s south coast with its maze of rocky bays and sandy coves.  Or Carnac famed for its megalithic remains from the Neolithic period or to the west, Quimper is famous for its handmade pottery (faience) which has been produced here since the 17th century and a visit to the workshops is not to be missed.  Close by is Pont-Aven, a postcard pretty fishing village made famous by Paul Gauguin.
