Your guide to self catering Gites, Cottages and Villas in France.

DESTIN is the name of our newly constructed house in the Perigord region of France. Our holiday cottage / gite is on the outskirts of the village of Tremolat, with beautiful views over the river Dordogne. It is a quiet and peaceful area but not isolated, with the village of Tremolat only a short stroll away, and larger towns, such as Bergerac, within 20 to 30 minutes drive.
The village of Tremolat has all of the facilities that you need to make your holiday enjoyable. There is a bakers, a general store, two restaurants, two bars, a post office, a garage, a church, bike hire,crazy golf etc. There is a large camp site with 2 swimming pools, football, water sports, a cafe etc. which is open to the public.
The house is situated about half way up the famous Route du Cingle, and is the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday, or as a base for touring the area.

There are many towns and villages within a short drive. Bergerac is only half an hour away, and many people now fly there from Stansted and hire a car. Others choose to drive down, having taken the ferry or Le Shuttle. It takes between 9 and 12 hours to drive from Calais, so an overnight stop in an hotel or a very reasonably priced motel could be made part of your holiday.
We can take between two and six people, and have two totally self contained gites available on the ground floor of a detached house.

GITE 1

Accommodation for two people - open plan with a bedroom area with double bed, wardrobe etc. lounge area, kitchen area, and a separate shower room with WC. Outside there is a patio area with table, chairs, barbeque etc.

Gite 2

Suitable for two to four people, with a separate bedroom with double bed, a lounge area with a bed settee, kitchen area, and a separate shower room with WC. Outside there is a patio area with table, chairs and a barbeque + wonderful views over the river Dordogne and the village.

Both gites (flats) are designed for your convenience and include bedding, towels, pots and pans etc. There is also a radio, and a television with basic Sky.
Well behaved dogs and cats are welcome at an extra cost of £10 per pet per week.
