A warm welcome awaits you in this sunny area of France with rolling farm fields of maize,rape and sunflowers. CHARENTE MARITIME is famous for the many varieties of goat's cheese produced,shaggy Poitiou donkeys and an amazing variety of birdlife. Nearby is COGNAC where you can tour the many distilleries,large and small and sample the brandy and the local aperetif Pineau.Also at Cognac is the meandering Charente river where river tours can be arranged. LA ROCHELLE is 45 mins drive and is where you can sample delicious seafood at outdoor cafes and wander the narrow streets.There are many good sandy beaches nearby. FUTUROSCOPE-the park of the moving image at Poitiers is approx 1hr drive and makes a great day out for all the family.

The cottage is a converted village bakehouse and sleeps 2/4.Upstairs are 2 single beds and a shower/toilet room.Downstairs is a sitting area with a double bed settee,a kitchen area with gas cooker,fridge and dining facilities. We can supply an extra bed for a child and also a cot and high chair. We do supply bed linen but ask that you bring your own towels. A washing machine is available for use. The cottage has it's own small self contained garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Prices-Oct-April £100 per week May-June £150 July-Sept £200 We do not operate a set changeover day so that people can travel midweek.Hopefully we can accomodate your needs.

Tamarisk cottage

The cottage has 2 single beds upstairs and a shower/toilet room.Downstairs is a sitting area with a double bed settee.The kitchen area has a gas cooker,fridge and dining facilities. A washing machine is available for use. A cot and high chair are available. There is a small self contained garden with BBQ and garden furniture.
